The Universidade Católica is once again joining forces with the Food Bank Collection Campaign against Hunger, an institution with which it is partnered. On 29 and 30 November, volunteers will be at the Continente Hypermarket in the Colombo Shopping Centre collecting food to support Portuguese families in need.
The Universidade Católica is organising a food collection campaign, which will benefit the “Mesa Posta, Coração Cheio” initiative run by the Centro Padre Alves Correia (CEPAC).
Delivery location: Social Responsibility Office, 5th Floor, João Paulo II University Library Building, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The Universidade Católica is organising the 4th edition of the Solidarity Christmas Market on 3 and 4 December. It will take place in the Hall of the Cardeal Medeiros Auditorium, on the 1st floor of the Library Building, between 11am and 4pm.
The aim of this initiative is to raise awareness and funds for the partner organisations of the VIDA Project – Volunteering at Católica.
New: Food sales point, run by Casa dos Sabores da Casa de Proteção e Amparo de Santo António
On 24 May, marking the 10th anniversary of the Encyclical Laudato si' and as part of the Jubilee Year “Pilgrims of Hope”, the Universidade Católica launched the photography competition “Hope in Action”.
Online voting runs until 19 December and the results will be announced on 6 January.
From 28 November to 12 December, employees, lecturers and researchers at the Universidade Católica are challenged to volunteer their services to three of VIDA's partner organisations – Volunteering at Católica: CEPAC, Apoio à Vida and Refeitório das Irmãs de S. Vicente de Paulo.
To participate in this initiative, simply fill out this short form, have a sense of commitment, a positive attitude, and lots of energy.
