International Call: Innovation Manager - DeepTech Transfer

Research is one of the mission pillars of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. The Research and Innovation Office (RIO) has four functional areas or units: Pre-Award, Project Management, Innovation, and Reporting, with the following roles and responsibilities:

• Collection and dissemination to the Católica research community of all information related to calls for grants and projects, support programs from FCT, the EU, and other public and private institutions;
• Control of funds received by Católica and monitoring their execution;
• Monitoring the research system at Universidade Católica (namely through the Ciência-UCP platform) and consolidating global data on R&D at Católica;
• Dissemination of R&D activities to the media, in coordination with the Communication and Marketing Directorate;
• Support in the exercise of scientific management functions and monitoring of the Quality System related to R&D data to the Vice-Rector responsible for research;
• Support for Católica’s institutional presence with research support bodies and entities, namely FCT.

In addition, specific processes at the Directorate level (Strategy and Planning) will be supervised. The units will work together to generate added value for the Católica research and innovation community, as well as for society.
