Project Management Team

Our Mission is to ensure the administrative and financial monitoring of externally funded projects, competitively awarded, from the contractualization phase until the closure of obligations to the funding bodies.

Key responsibilities:

1. Contractualization and Negotiation Support

• Support the negotiation and contractualization process with external funding bodies and potential project partners. This includes necessary coordination with Academic Units and/or the Rectorate to ensure compliance with internally defined parameters.

2. Project Execution Monitoring

• Monitoring the administrative and financial execution of projects in coordination with all involved parties, including specifically:
• Inform the Principal Investigator and other relevant stakeholders of the execution rules associated with the funding;
• Create and maintain the project dossier in accordance with the terms stipulated by the funding bodies;
• Monitor and control the project's budget execution to ensure that expenditure is carried out in accordance with the established eligibility rules and approved financial viability objectives of the Academic Units and/or Rectorate;
• Control funds received or to be received under the project;
• Prepare and submit interim and final project reports and payment requests;
• Centralise communication with funding bodies and other stakeholders involved, ensuring the provision of any clarifications requested by them;
• Manage or participate in the management of specific administrative processes relevant to the execution of funded projects;
• Prepare for and follow up on project audits.
