International Call: Innovation Manager - DeepTech Transfer
The Rector of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Prof. Dr. Isabel Capeloa Gil, hereby announces the opening of an international call for applications for one vacancy of Innovation Manager to perform duties of project management and support knowledge transfer and innovation (with an integral time clause) in the scientific field of Natural Sciences or Engineering. The research activities will be carried out at the Research and Innovation Office (RIO) of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in Porto, within the framework of the project Deeptech Transfer, funded under the call COMPETE-2024-6 Ações Coletivas - Transferência do conhecimento científico e tecnológico.
This project, which will run until the 31st of august 2027, has as its main objective to promote the transfer of scientific knowledge in the fields of Food Biotechnology, Heath and Information Technologies.
It will promote the generation of economic value of R&D results, through strengthening of: the dissemination of new technologies to the industrial sector; the knowledge tranfer processes and tools; and the conditions for value creation by the transformation of innovative technologies developed by students and researchers of the regional centres of UCP in Braga, Porto and Viseu. The project will contribute to the development and sustainability of business ideas based in products and services, and effective links between actors of the innovation ecosystem. The Innovation Manager recruited for this position will:
- Undertake project management duties, including preparation and submission of project deliverables and reports, as well as engage with the project coordination and project participants.
- Organize and contribute to the organization of project meetings, network creation events and Case Competition events.
- Manage portfolios of IP generated by UCP and the implementation of processes for the assessment of potential for value creation and perform technology roadmapping.
- Support the development of tools that aim to promote and support value creation via licensing or selling intellectual property, co-development contracts with industry, or via spin-off creation.
- Support the development and deployment of a call to promote knowledge transfer.
