Scopus is a metainformation and citations database of peer-reviewed publications, such as scientific journals, books and conference proceedings. It provides a comprehensive view of international scientific production in the areas of technology, medicine, social sciences or arts and humanities. Scopus features tools such as advanced search, analysis and results visualization. Through the citation index it is possible to analyze the number of citations of publications or authors.

Guide to Pharmacology

Guide to Pharmacology is a pharmacological information center that provides a searchable database with quantitative information on drug targets and the prescription medicines and experimental drugs that act on them. 

Health for All: WHO

Health for All database brings together the indicators that are part of major monitoring frameworks relevant to the region, such as Health 2020 and the Sustainable Development Goals. The indicators cover basic demographics, health status, health determinants and risk factors, as well as health care resources and more. HFA database allows access to regional, national and some subnational indicators and metadata, which are visualized through interactive online tools in the Health for All explorer. Data, metadata, graphs and maps can be exported or shared online and on social media.

MDPI is a multidisciplinary publisher of peer-reviewed and open access journals.

National Center for Biotechnology Information

National Center for Biotechnology Information provides access to biomedical and genomic information. 

OAPEN Library

The OAPEN Library contains freely accessible academic books, mainly in the area of humanities and social sciences. RCAAP (Repositórios Científicos de Acesso Aberto de Portugal)

Eurostat

Eurostat is the statistical office of the European Union. Its mission is to provide high quality statistics for Europe. This platform offers a whole range of important and interesting data that governments, businesses, the education sector, journalists and the public can use for their work and daily life.

Instituto Nacional de Estatística (INE)

INE produces, in an independent manner, high-quality official statistical information, relevant for the society, while promoting the coordination, the analysis, the innovation and the dissemination of the national statistical activity and ensuring integrated data storage.

PORDATA

PORDATA collects, organizes, systematizes and disseminates data on multiple areas of society, for Portugal and its municipalities, and for the European countries. The reported statistics derive from official and certified sources, with data production skills in the respective areas.

Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions

The official guide for preparing Cochrane systematic reviews. This handbook contains information on standard methods that apply to all types of reviews (planning, search, study selection, data collection, risk of bias assessment, and result interpretation).

Equator Network

Platform that allows to search within a set of methodological guidelines aimed at the development of different types of health research.

JBI Manual for Evidence Synthesis

Designed to provide authors with a comprehensive guide to conducting JBI systematic reviews. It describes in detail the process of planning, undertaking, and writing up a systematic review using JBI methods.

PRISMA

Initiative that developed a set of tools and guidelines for the reporting of evidence-based syntheses, such as the PRISMA Checklist, the PRISMA Flow Diagram and the PRISMA Checklist for Scoping Reviews.

CINAHL Subject Headings

CINAHL specific thesaurus, designed to assist in more effectively searching in this database. Although based on MeSH, it is recommended, if applicable, to always check whether the MeSH terms collected for the investigation correspond or not to the preferred terms of CINAHL. To search the thesaurus, go to the upper menu and select the CINAHL Subject Headings option.

DeCS

Descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DeCS) is the controlled vocabulary used for indexing research outputs and other documents in the biomedical field. It corresponds to the Virtual Health Library’s translation of the MeSH vocabulary.

MeSH

Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) is the National Library of Medicine controlled vocabulary thesaurus used for indexing articles for PubMed.

Prospero

PROSPERO accepts registrations for systematic reviews, rapid reviews and umbrella reviews. PROSPERO does not accept scoping reviews or literature scans.

Zenodo

Open repository that allows researchers to deposit research papers, data sets, research software, reports, and any other research related digital artefacts. For each submission, a persistent digital object identifier (DOI) is assigned, which makes the stored items easily citable.
