Financial literacy game created at Católica Porto Business School is now available

The team from Católica Porto Business School that won the “Economia para Tod@s” competition, promoted by the Banco de Portugal in 2025, has now launched Clique Financeiro, a free digital game dedicated to promoting economic and financial literacy.

Designed primarily for pre-university students, the game offers a practical and engaging approach to everyday financial decision-making, strengthening essential skills in an accessible and educational way.

“We wanted to create a tool that would help young people understand, in a concrete way and without theoretical discourse, the impact of their financial decisions over time. The game allows them to experiment, make mistakes and learn in a safe environment, bringing financial literacy closer to real life,” explains Susana Costa e Silva, professor at Católica Porto Business School and Director of the Master’s and PhD programmes in Management.

Clique Financeiro is a turn-based game, in which each turn represents one week. Players choose a short or long path, make decisions about activities and investments, and manage several financial indicators. The goal is to maintain balance and reach €10,000 (investor profile) or €15,000 (entrepreneur profile).

The project was developed by a multidisciplinary team comprising Susana Costa e Silva, Eduardo Nunes, CEO and Lead Game Designer at Kendir Studios and a graduate in Management from the School, and Diogo Lorga, M&A Senior Analyst at EY, with a degree in Management from Católica Porto Business School and a Master’s in Finance from ISEG.

Clique Financeiro was developed by Kendir Studios, in partnership with Católica Porto Business School and with the support of the Banco de Portugal, reinforcing a shared commitment to promoting financial and economic literacy among younger generations.

The game is available here.
