Discovering Gnosticism: The frontiers of a pluralistic Christianity

The Faculty of Theology at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa is organising the advanced training course "Discovering Gnosticism: The frontiers of a pluralistic Christianity", an initiative that offers a rigorous yet accessible introduction to the Gnostic phenomenon. Starting from its origins and its main sources, the course will seek to understand what distinguishes Gnosticism from other religious and philosophical currents of antiquity, the reasons for its extraordinary power of attraction, and why it continues to arouse interest today.

The programme begins with the public lecture "Ancient and Modern Gnosticism" on 29 October, which will take place at the Universidade Católica in Lisbon and online.
