The Social Responsibility Office takes an integrated approach to this project, involving players from various Teaching Units and favouring projects that develop the Service-Learning and Volunteering methodology. Sorrisos Especiais
The Sorrisos Especiais Project, implemented between April 2021 and May 2022, was carried out by the various curricular units that make up the FMD-UCP Integrated Master's Degree in Dental Medicine and involved 4th and 5th year students and teachers. As well as medical and dental procedures, in which students were able to identify and treat the main oral pathologies of people with physical and/or mental disabilities, training was given to carers and users in the area of oral hygiene. Some of the partner organisations got involved in the process by providing specialised training to the students themselves, in a two-way synergy, in the care of blind and deaf patients.
Partners: Câmara Municipal de Viseu (Financiamento)
