Prime Minister of Portugal gives lecture to students at Universidade Católica
The Institute for Political Studies (IEP) is organising a lecture entitled ‘Portugal and the European Union’ on 16 September in Lisbon, aimed especially at its students and attended by the Prime Minister of Portugal, Luís Montenegro.
The event will begin at 5 p.m. with speeches by the President of Católica, Isabel Capeloa Gil, and Luís Montenegro. This will be followed by a conversation between the Prime Minister and José Manuel Durão Barroso, Director of the IEP's Centre for European Studies, on Portugal and Europe and the great challenges of our time.
This will be an event of academic and political excellence, giving IEP students the exclusive opportunity to listen to and talk with the current Head of Government of Portugal and also with the former President of the European Commission, as a question and answer session is also planned.
