Paulo Pinto de Albuquerque awarded Doctor Honoris Causa in Ukraine

The Yaroslav I National Law University in Ukraine, one of the most prestigious academic institutions in Eastern Europe, distinguished Paulo Pinto de Albuquerque, Full Professor at the Católica | Lisbon School of Law, with the title of Doctor Honoris Causa, on September 24, 2021.

The award of the title of Doctor Honoris Causa was proposed by Oksana Kaplina, who organised the translation of several articles written by the professor into a book, with a preface by Viktor Horodovenko, President of the Ukrainian Constitutional Court.

Paulo Pinto de Albuquerque was also awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa by Edge Hill University, in 2019. In April 2021, he was honoured in Italy with a book inspired by the European Convention on Human Rights - "Europa Umana" - for his nine years as a judge of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).
