CECC researcher launches the book "Indirect Translation Explained"

Rita Bueno Maia, researcher and professor at the Research Centre for Communication and Culture (CECC), UCP, launched the book “Indirect Translation Explained”, in partnership with Hanna Pięta, assistant professor at NOVA University of Lisbon and member of CETAPS, and Ester Torres-Simón, assistant professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and member of GREGAL.

Published by Routledge, the work, which is part of the collection "Translation Practices Explained", is the first comprehensive work published in book form on the practice of indirect translation today. Besides not focusing on translation from the original text, this work also differs from other studies that have been produced on the subject by providing practical advice on how to translate efficiently (i) from a text that has already been translated and (ii) with the specific intention of generating new translations.
