CATÓLICA-LISBON rises to World TOP 25 in Executive Education according to Financial Times Ranking

Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics is the 24th best School in the World for executive education and the 18th best school in Europe, according to Financial Times’ Global Ranking 2023. This is the best placing so far and a leap of 26 places in two years for the Universidade Católica’s School.

These global results are mainly due to the improvement of 41 places in the open programmes for executives, an accumulated increase over the last two years (the biggest rise in the history of the FT ranking for this category), since the school of the Universidade Católica occupies this year the 31st position worldwide and is the leader in Portugal in key criteria such as Teaching Methods & Materials; New Skills & Learnings; Course Design and Faculty quality.

CATÓLICA-LISBON also validates its bet on the development of open enrolment programmes, as it is in the World TOP 3 in the improvement of its ranking this year.

The school is also ranked 21st worldwide in Customised Training for Companies and has the best classification in Portugal in the overall satisfaction level of its programmes, with 7.75. CLSBE is also the best in training for international companies.

According to Filipe Santos, Dean of CATÓLICA-LISBON, "being in the World TOP 25 in executive training is an excellent result that results from our strong bet on the talent of our teachers, in pedagogical innovation and adaptation to the needs of companies".

The Dean congratulates the CLSBE executive training team that in two years, managed to make CATÓLICA-LISBON "one of the three schools in the world with better progression in the rankings. This trajectory and recognition makes us responsible to serve increasingly better the training needs of future professionals, accelerating their career and creating value for companies," concludes.

For Céline Abecassis-Moedas, Director of Executive Training, "we are very proud to see CATÓLICA-LISBON's Executive Training ranked 24th in the World and 18th in Europe. It is thanks to the strong connection with our customers that we are able to anticipate their needs and expectations for the future. Executives and companies highly value the learning experience they have with us and particularly the innovative teaching methodologies."

Céline Abecassis-Moedas also highlights that the "future Executive Training will be even more aligned with the clients' needs and the market trends and demands in innovative formats and oriented towards an increasingly digital world, in which leadership qualities are fundamental"

It should be noted that this aggregate ranking is comprised of two components: one ranking for open enrolment programmes (open rank - position 31 worldwide), and another for customised programmes for companies (custom rank - position 21 worldwide).
