Theology Days 2020

From the 3rd to the 6th of February, the nucleus of Porto of the Faculty of Theology, in collaboration with the Diocese of Porto and the Brotherhood of Clerics, will hold the Theology Days 2020, under the theme "Christian Initiation in Times of Secularization".

The event, which will take place on the campus of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in the Porto Regional Centre, is inspired by the Message of Pope Francis: "To become a Christian is a gift that comes from on high (cf. Jn 3:3-8). Faith cannot be bought, but rather asked and received as a gift: "Lord, grant me the gift of faith!", it is a beautiful prayer! "May I have faith!" is a beautiful prayer. Ask for it as a gift, but you can't buy it, you ask. In fact, "Baptism is the sacrament of that faith, with which men, enlightened by the grace of the Holy Spirit, respond to the Gospel of Christ" (Rite of Baptism of Children, General Introduction, n. 3). The formation of catechumens and the preparation of parents, as well as listening to the Word of God in the very celebration of Baptism, tend to arouse and awaken a sincere faith in response to the Gospel" (POPE FRANCIS, General Audience, St. Peter's Square, Wednesday 18th of April 2018).
