Housing Cooperatives: "Back to the Future"?

One of the measures provided for in Law No. 56/2023, of October 6 (Mais Habitação), as a way to address the Portuguese housing crisis, is to foster a New Generation of cooperativism. It is therefore necessary to revisit the study of a century-old framework, now somewhat forgotten, in order to build a future of dignified and affordable housing.

This workshop will be held within the framework of the Postgraduate Programme in Real Estate Law and will be delivered by Deolinda Meira (Associate Professor at ISCAP) and Filipa Serôdio Pinheiro (Head of Legal at MOME), with moderation by Ana Afonso, Associate Professor at Porto Faculty of Law of Universidade Católica Portuguesa and Coordinator of the Postgraduate Programme.
