Conference ELU-S 2026

The Católica Research Centre for the Future of Law, and Faculty of Law and Católica Global School of Law are hosting the 2nd edition of the annual conference of ELU-S – European Law Unbound Society, which will take place from 1 to 3 September 2026 at the Lisbon campus of Universidade Católica Portuguesa. 

Under the theme “Words or Deeds? The European Moment”, the conference aims to foster debate on the “European moment” at a time of profound transformation, marked by both opportunities and vulnerabilities, in which the gap between institutional discourse and concrete action has become increasingly challenging. 

The conference will feature a keynote speech by Isabel Feichtner and plenary sessions dedicated to the themes of Solidarity and Sovereignty. The main part of the programme will consist of parallel sessions of thematic panels, incorporating the proposals selected through the call for panels and the call for papers.
