22nd Alexis de Tocqueville Lecture

The 22nd edition of the Alexis de Tocqueville Lecture will take place on October 25, 2022, with Mário Pinto as speaker. The solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas and academic distinctions is annually organised by the Institute for Political Studies of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP).

The event, chaired by Isabel Capeloa Gil, President of UCP, includes a masterly lecture with an internationally renowned speaker, the conferring of the excellence awards, the blessing and the handing over of the diplomas. A formal dinner will follow.

Among the prizes to be awarded, the following stand out:

• The Alexis de Tocqueville Award;
• Henry the Navigator Award;
• The Lord Acton Award.
