Maintaining the correct association of publications with researcher profiles in these databases is essential for accurately representing research output. Claiming your profile allows you to consolidate scattered records, correct inaccurate information, and enhance your visibility within the scientific community.

For any questions regarding the profile claiming process, please contact ciencia@ucp.pt.

Open Access and Publishing

Open Access publishing enables research outputs, such as articles, books, posters, code, and more, to be freely available without barriers and openly reusable. Several funding bodies have implemented an Open Access policy, notably the Foundation for Science and Technology and the European Commission.

Choosing an appropriate repository is essential to ensure the preservation and reuse of data. This decision may depend on the type of data or the funder’s guidelines. The re3data directory is a useful tool for identifying both thematic and generalist repositories. In this process, the UCP Libraries provide support by analyzing the available options and guiding researchers in selecting the most suitable repository.
