A week of art and cinema open to the public, which will take place between the 4th and the 8th of July and will count with the presence of renowned Portuguese and Brazilian artists and directors.
Nuno Crespo, director of the School of Arts, reveals "with this set of initiatives integrated in our Summer School, we want to show the role that the School of Arts has as a stimulator of the city's cultural activity, giving the general public the opportunity to be in contact with art and artists". Nuno Crespo also added that "it is very important for Escola das Artes to hold these events so that our entire community has the opportunity to contact and learn from relevant artists and directors in our contemporary context."
The theme of this year's edition - "BRAZIL: CROSS DYNAMICS OF OTHERNESS" - intends to bring to the forefront reflections on South America, the concepts of intertwining and pendular movements that have become key instruments for navigating the complexities brought about by Brazilian cultures in recent decades.
