Universidade Católica Portuguesa present at the European Association of International Educators 2025
From 9 to 12 September, the Universidade Católica Portuguesa is represented at the EAIE (European Association of International Educators), a conference that brings together hundreds of higher education institutions from around the world in a European country each year, and which this year is taking place in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Católica integrates the Study and Research in Portugal pavilion, promoted by the National Erasmus Agency, in collaboration with the Luso-American Development Foundation (FLA) and Fulbright.
In this edition, the University's delegation at the fair includes members of the Global Engagement Office, representatives of the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, the Católica Medical School, the Faculty of Human Sciences and the International Office of the Porto Regional Centre.
In parallel, the Universidade Católica is represented by Francisco Mendes-Palma, Director of Transform4Europe at the University and member of the alliance's Steering Committee, who is part of the T4EU delegation at the fair, this year in a joint stand with EUNICE - European University of Customised Education.
For Francisco Mendes-Palma, "being present at EAIE2025 means continuing to contribute to the strengthening of European higher education. It means establishing sustainable links with academic and non-academic partners on a global scale, starting from Europe and its university institutions.”
Participating also “means serving the community and communities by promoting knowledge, academic freedom and societal transformation that guarantees a promising future with positive and constructive opportunities,” adds.
Attending EAIE "will strengthen our Global Outreach strategy, as we have identified, discussed and deepened our relationship with global partners to carry out various activities, such as joint degrees and research, and mobility for the entire university community. It will reinforce the positive and constructive approach needed, not only in Europe but also on a global scale, through knowledge, universities, students, teachers, researchers and technicians," the leader concludes.
The organisers have prepared a special space for European university alliances, where T4EU representatives will present the consortium’s achievements, including the joint educational offer and flagship events, and will strengthen inter-institutional cooperation.
