Universidade Católica hosts delegation from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh - Vietnam

On 27 November, the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) was visited by a delegation from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh (UEH) - Vietnam to discuss the development of future cooperation points, especially in the fields of human sciences and communication.


Peter Hannenberg, Vice-Rector of UCP, Graça Coutinho, International Relations Coordinator at UCP, Carla Ganito, professor at the Faculty of Human Sciences, and Guilherme Almeida e Brito, professor at the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, took part in the meeting, which was aimed at strengthening relations with Southeast Asia and reinforcing collaboration with the University of São José (USJ), Macau.


Representing the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh were UEH Vice-President Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao, the Vice-Dean of the College of Technology and Design, Trinh Thuy Anh, and the professor at the School of Media Design, Tran Le Quynh Anh. The meeting was also attended by Adérito Marcos, Dean of USJ's Doctoral School and President of ARTECH in Portugal, and Filipa Martins, a professor at USJ's Faculty of Arts and Humanities.


During this visit, the universities had the opportunity to present their programmes and discuss points of future cooperation, especially in the fields of human sciences and communication, as well as future participation in research events held in Vietnam. Co-operation between the doctoral schools at UCP, EUH and USJ was also discussed.

Established in 1976, UEH is now one of the leading public universities in Vietnam, ranking between 201 and 300 in the world according to the Times Higher Education Ranking. Comprising 3 faculties, the College of Business, the College of Economics, Law and Government and the College of Technology and Design, and 13 campuses, the University is already a partner of the University of San José in the College of Technology and Design.
