UCP President joins Europaeum Board of Trustees
Isabel Capeloa Gil, President of Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) and member of the Academic Council Europaeum will integrate, in January 2023, the Board of Trustees of this network, which brings together 18 European universities.
As part of the celebrations of the 30 years of this association, which take place from September 30 to October 1, at Balliol College, Oxford, the President will moderate the panel on October 1 (11:00 am) with the theme “Challenges to Academic Freedom”, having as speakers Professor van den Doel (Leiden University) and Professor Jan Wouters (KU Leuven).
Founded in 1992 by George Weidenfeld, Ronald Grierson and RoyJenkins, former Chancellor of the University of Oxford and the first President of the European Commission, Europaeum emerges as an “international university without walls”, where future researchers and European leaders share knowledge and challenges. common ground, promoting excellence in research and teaching, through a network that supports and promotes European Studies.
