UCP in Braga joins Cruz Vermelha to eradicate homelessness

As part of its Social Responsibility, Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Braga Regional Center is associated with the 2nd Edition of the campaign of Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa - Braga Delegation - "A house for the homeless". Three locations were available to purchase a "little house" for the value of 2€. This amount reverts in full to the intervention of the Portuguese Red Cross with the most vulnerable population.

You can participate in this campaign in the following locations:

• Reception of the building of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences; 
• Reception at the Camões Campus building;
• Treasury.

The campaign will run until June 2 and aims to raise awareness and mobilize the whole community for the issue of the Right to Housing, particularly for homeless people. 

The CVP supports homeless citizens daily with responses from street teams (Social and Health), emergency housing, assisted housing, satisfaction of basic needs and support to socio-professional integration, the continuity of the campaign is imperative despite the cancellation of the 2020 edition for Covid-19 reasons.
