Postgraduate studies in Curatorship: A new study area opening in the School of Arts for 2020/2021
With the holding of the Seminars Curatorial Issues, with Luiz Camillo Osorio and Art Under Political Order, last week marked the pre-opening of the Postgraduate studies in Curatorship, a new training area at the School of Arts in the academic year of 2020/2021, for which applications are already being accepted.
This new postgraduate course, with theoretical and practical guidance, intends to stimulate and deepen theoretical and professional knowledge in the areas of research and development of curatorial projects, promoting the development of a critical discourse and the practical capacity to prepare, assemble and communicate an exhibition.
With a program marked by a strong presence and collaboration of highly recognized curators in the national and international artistic scenes, as well as artists, directors and international experts in the fields of contemporary art and cinema (present at the School of Arts in the context of Exhibitions, Artistic Residencies, Seminars and Conferences or Summer School) and an extended partnership with the Serralves Foundation, we will prepare future curators, critics and art researchers who wish to work in museums, galleries, independent centers and spaces, media and projects dedicated to contemporary art.
