Portuguese Business Association distinguishes Porto Regional Centre with the title of Honorary Member
The Porto Regional Centre of Universidade Católica Portuguesa was distinguished with the title of Honorary Member by the Portuguese Business Association (AEP). This is the highest distinction granted by AEP in order to honor institutions and personalities who have distinguished themselves for their contribution to the economy and the country.
For AEP, the Porto Regional Centre stands out for its "strong connection to the business community", for the "quality and excellence of its teaching", as well as for the "unavoidable reference in the training of executives". An example of the connection between AEP and Porto Regional Centre is the year of 1992: the year in which, together with AEP, the Porto Regional Centre created its business school, the well known Católica Porto Business School.
The Association's General Council, meeting on May 18, unanimously approved the attribution of the category of Honorary Member to Porto Regional Centre. In a ceremony held on October 18, the diploma was handed over to Isabel Braga da Cruz, president of the Porto Regional Centre. Luís Mira Amaral and Ludgero Marques were also distinguished with this category.
The Portuguese Business Association, Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AEP) is a multisector association, based in Portugal and headquartered in Porto since its creation, in 1849.
