Novak Award given by the Acton Institute to Professor Orlando Samões
Orlando Samões, coordinator of the Political Science and International Relations degree of the Instituto de Estudos Políticos of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and editorial coordinator of the magazine Nova Cidadania, was distinguished with the 2021 Novak Award, attributed by the Acton Institute, in recognition of his research in the areas of ethics, politics and economics.
The Novak Award “recognizes those scholars early in their academic career who demonstrate outstanding intellectual merit in advancing the understanding of religion’s connection to human dignity, the rule of law, limited government, religious liberty and freedom in economic life”.
