On 19 March, Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) welcomed 13 women to an employability workshop organised by the Social Responsibility Office, in partnership with the Careers&Talent Office of the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics.

As a partner in the TASSE Project of the Santa Rafaela Maria Foundation, a social solidarity foundation whose aim is to promote the integral, human and Christian development of the individual, especially those most in need, Católica held the employability workshop, which covered topics such as communication, soft skills and CV preparation, with a very practical component.`

Maria João Santos, Head of Careers & Talent at CATÓLICA LISBON, said it was "very enriching to see that the participants were able to apply the new knowledge" they had acquired straight away, in the hope that it would have "an impact on their integration" into the labour market.

"After the workshop, one of the participants shared with the TASSE team that she had already used the script provided during the training to answer a telephone interview and that she felt much more confident about it," said Ana Nogueira, the TASSE-E9g project coordinator, who also emphasised the "quality of the training experience" provided during the session.

This initiative is part of UCP's Social Responsibility strategy and aims to promote personal development and support job preparation through knowledge transfer.

TASSE is being developed as part of the Escolhas Programme in the Quinta da Fonte da Prata neighbourhood in Alhos Vedros, and is committed to improving the school inclusion of children and young people and increasing the skills and opportunities of the population in the community where it is located. This project involves 135 children and young people, from primary to secondary school, and 80 families.
