João Paulo II University Library receives the “Equidade” exhibition
The João Paulo II University Library is hosting the "Equidade" exhibition, which will be open until September 20. Based on one of the first translations of the Charter of Human Rights, comes this exhibition with the aim of reinterpreting the Human Rights in light of the 21st century, in an interactive, face-to-face and digital dynamic, which challenges the visitor to reflect, and to visit the exhibition of photographs, provided by Associação Taré, which mirror the theme of the exhibition.
The exhibition, with free entrance, can be visited from Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
Welcome
The writing of a declaration aimed at the dissemination of Human Rights in 1948, right after the war, proved to be one of the most universal and urgent tools for understanding fundamental freedoms in all aspects of people's lives. With that in mind, we can move towards respect, dignity and responsibility for each Human being and pursue freedom, democracy and social equity to achieve Integral Human Development. This exhibition, focusing on interaction/intervention with visitors, aims to create space for non-formal education in a context of excellence, the library. The works on display coexist between face-to-face and digital, inviting the consultation of bibliography, in the library, that prompt interest in the most varied themes. This is a way for us to invite everyone to consider Human Rights through art and digital interaction so that we can create bridges instead of walls; so that we can (re)think what Peace is and how all people can participate in it – from our sphere of interaction to indirect influence. You are all very welcome!
The curator,
Carlos Barros
