FCSE faculty member appointed Academic Editor of PLOS Digital Health
Carla Pais-Vieira, a faculty member at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing, has recently been appointed Academic Editor on the Editorial Board of the international scientific journal PLOS Digital Health, joining the Equity and Bias in Digital Health section, which focuses on equity and bias in digital health.
This role involves overseeing the peer-review process, evaluating scientific manuscripts and contributing to rigorous and ethical editorial decisions in a field that is becoming increasingly important to the future of healthcare.
The appointment recognises her work in digital health, ethics, equity, emerging technologies and responsible innovation, further highlighting the contribution of research at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing of Universidade Católica Portuguesa to current healthcare challenges.
