European Documentation Centres in Lisbon promote the first European Walk

Universidade Católica Portuguesa’s European Documentation Centre (EDC) is in partnership with the other EDCs in Lisbon — Universidade de Lisboa School of Social and Political Sciences (ISCSP), the Business & Economics School (ISG), and Universidade Lusíada — and with the Lisbon Metropolitan Area Europe Direct, organizing the first European Walk, to be held on October 25, 2025, in Monsanto.  

With a route of around 8 kilometers along the Viewpoints Circuit, the European Walk 2025 aims to bring together the academic community and the public for a morning of socializing, sharing, and celebrating European values in an informal, outdoor setting. 

In addition to being a pet-friendly initiative, the walk will also have a charitable component, inviting all participants to offer non-perishable food items, baby hygiene products, and pet food or other products for animals, which will later be delivered to social and animal support institutions. 

Registration is open until October 20, and participation is free and open to anyone who wishes to join this cause. 

With this initiative, the European Documentation Centres seek to promote values of solidarity, citizenship, and cooperation, strengthening the link between the university and society.
