European Documentation Centres in Lisbon promote the first European Walk
Universidade Católica Portuguesa’s European Documentation Centre (EDC) is in partnership with the other EDCs in Lisbon — the School of Social and Political Sciences (ISCSP) of Universidade de Lisboa, the Business & Economics School (ISG), and Universidade Lusíada — as well as with Europe Direct of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, organizing the first European Walk, postponed to a date to be announced.
With a route of around 8 kilometers along the Viewpoints Circuit, the European Walk 2026 aims to bring together the academic community and the public for a morning of socializing, sharing, and celebrating European values in an informal, outdoor setting.
In addition to being a pet-friendly initiative, the walk will also include a charitable component, inviting all participants to donate non-perishable food items, baby hygiene products, and pet food or other animal products, which will later be delivered to social and animal support institutions.
Registrations are temporarily closed and will reopen once a new date is announced.
With this initiative, the European Documentation Centres seek to promote values of solidarity, citizenship, and cooperation, strengthening the link between the university and society.
