D. José Pedro da Silva Library hosts the exhibition “Views of the World”, as part of the municipal project “Viseu Inclui +”

From June 23 to September 30, the D. José Pedro da Silva Library will host the exhibition "Views of the World", an initiative developed within the scope of the Municipal Project "Viseu Inclui +", which aims to value the cultural diversity present in the municipality of Viseu.

Based on a selection of 24 photographs by Brazilian photographer Paula Santoro, twelve nationalities (Germany, Angola, Argentina, Brazil, Cape Verde, Colombia, Spain, France, India, Mozambique, Pakistan, and Ukraine) are brought to life through portraits and traditional clothing of people who have chosen the city of Viseu as their home.

More than just a collection of images, this photographic exhibition seeks to raise public awareness of the importance of social inclusion, respect for difference, and intercultural coexistence, reinforcing the idea that diversity is an essential value in building a fairer and more equal society.

The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Friday, during the following hours: 8:30am - 1:00pm / 1:30pm - 6:30pm.
