‘Come and See’ event takes place on 31 May to celebrate the Jubilee
On 31 May, the Diocese of Lisbon is promoting Diocesan Jubilee Day - Come and See, starting at 9am in Estoril, celebrating the 2025 Jubilee in the Catholic Church.
The event, which has the support of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, includes activities throughout the day, participation in which is free and open to all.
During the morning, there will be moments of prayer, solidarity initiatives, conferences and workshops, exhibitions, games for children, sporting events and sustainability challenges, which will take place in different locations such as the School of Hospitality and Tourism, the Estoril Congress Centre, the Church of Boa Nova and Jardim do Estoril, the beaches of Tamariz and Poça and the Salesians of Estoril. To take part, you need to register, which can be done individually or in groups.
In the afternoon, the Estoril Garden will host a screening of the País Mission theatre and a Eucharist presided over by the Patriarch of Lisbon, Bishop Rui Valério.
The evening programme includes concerts by Hakuna Group Music and the Rui Veloso Trio, as well as a popular festival, also in Jardim do Estoril, which will also have a restaurant and food truck area.
