CCR in the Roadmap of Technological Infrastructures 2020
The Conservation and Restoration Center (CCR) of the School of the Arts at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in Porto, was included in the Mapping of Technological Infrastructures 2020, from the National Innovation Agency, which updated the Roadmap carried out in 2016, incorporating some developments that have occurred concerning the alteration and / or creation of technological infrastructures, in order to better reflect the current reality.
The CCR is included in the scope of the new typology Other R&D Enhancement Infrastructures - Infrastructures integrated in HEIs, which includes entities belonging to higher education institutions and other entities that operate in the transfer and enhancement of results from R&D activities.
These infrastructures, whether or not developing their own R&D activities, carry out technological training activities and economic and social enhancement of the results of R&D activities, acting globally in the same way as Technology Transfer and Valorization Centers, in the sense that they can present a multifunctional or thematic character, to boost R&D and Innovation activities, provide specialized services, promote the integration of scientific and technological knowledge as well as its valorisation and transfer to the market, and may also have a strong role in the formation of highly qualified human resources.
This roadmap shows that Portugal presents a more diversified and complex set of technological infrastructures, with a greater scope in terms of skills for innovation, following the dynamics of the markets and their technological needs.
