Católica is the only university with two Finance Master's programs in the Financial Times 2025 ranking
The Finance Master's programs at Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics and Católica Porto Business School are ranked among the best in the world, according to the Financial Times 2025 ranking. This recognition places Universidade Católica Portuguesa as the only university in the world with two Master's programs featured in this ranking.
The Finance Master's at Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics holds the 23rd position, placing the school in the global top 20 based on the three-year average. Meanwhile, the Finance Master's at Católica Porto Business School makes its debut in the ranking, securing the 52nd position in Europe and the 63rd worldwide, and ranks 3rd globally for career progression among its alumni. This result marks a significant milestone for the program, which achieved this recognition in its first year of application to the ranking.
Filipe Santos, Dean of Católica Lisbon, states that “it is an honour to see our Master's in Finance consistently recognised since 2017 as one of the best in the world in the Financial Times Ranking, being in the global top 20 from 2023 to 2025.” “The job market acknowledges the value and excellent preparation of our graduates, who are quickly promoted and valued, increasing their salary by more than 80% within three years — a criterion in which we rank in the global Top 5,” he adds.
João Pinto, Dean of Católica Porto Business School, highlights that “the inclusion of our Finance Master's in the Financial Times 2025 ranking is a recognition of our ongoing work and investment in academic quality, in strengthening ties with the business sector, and in the impact we aim to create for our students and society. It is also a sign of the growing relevance of Católica Porto Business School in the international education landscape, reinforcing the School’s mission of internationalisation.”
Both schools hold the prestigious triple crown accreditation (EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB), a mark of excellence achieved by only 1% of business schools worldwide. This accomplishment strengthens the international positioning of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, projecting its business schools as leaders in training highly qualified professionals equipped to meet the challenges of the global economy.
