Azeredo Lopes, professor at the Faculty of Law, honoured with Medal of Merit of the City of Porto

Azeredo Lopes, Professor at the Faculty of Law - Porto School of the Universidade Católica and coordinator of the International Studies Programme, was one of the personalities honoured with the Medal of Merit of the City of Porto.

In the ceremony, which took place on July 9 at Casa do Roseiral, the Medals of Honour of the City were also awarded to Pedro Abrunhosa, Rui Reininho, Borges Coelho and the GNR.

The City Medals are intended to celebrate all those who dedicate themselves to the city Invicta and are awarded every year on 9 July, the day that marks the arrival of King Pedro IV in Porto (1832) and, later, the liberation from the siege of the absolutists.

In 2023, 4 Medals of Honour, 38 Medals of Merit and 2 medals for good services were awarded, in the cultural, business and political spheres of life in Porto.
