Athina Chatzipetrou is a new member of the Rector's Strategic Advisory Board

Athina Chatzipetrou, CEO of the Hellenic Development Bank, is a new member of the Rector's Strategic Advisory Board at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), since 10 November 2023.

With over 30 years' experience in Financial Management, Athina Chatzipetrou has served on several advisory boards such as the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and the Greek Ministry of Development and Competitiveness.

The Rector's group of advisors met this Friday to discuss the University's Research and Innovation Strategy, among other topics. The meeting was attended by Peter Hanenberg, Vice-Rector of UCP, João Cortez, director of Research and Innovation, and Isabel Mota and Vítor Bento, members of the University's Board of Trustees.

The Rector's Strategic Advisory Board is also made up of Carlos Moedas (President of the Lisbon City Council), Deborah L.Wince-Smith (President and CEO of the Council on Competitiveness), José Manuel Durão Barroso (former President of the European Commission), Kerstin Tham (Vice-Cancellor of Malmö University), Hon. Firoz Rasul (former President of the Aga Khan University), Nuno Teles (Managing Director at Diageo Great Britain), Paulo Moita de Macedo (President of the CGD Executive Comission), Soledad Duarte (Managing Director at Transearch Portugal), and now Athina Chatzipetrou.
