Alumni from the Faculty of Law - Porto School founds start-up that attended the Web Summit and was awarded start-up of the month by Fintech House Lisbon
André Lages, an alumni of the Post-Graduation in Personal Data Protection Law at the Faculty of Law - Porto School of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, co-founded a start-up in the Web3 area, which was awarded at the Web Summit as start-up of the month by Fintech House Lisbon.
It is called Lympid and consists of a platform that will allow users a panoply of investment applications in the crypto markets, something that is not in itself innovative, but with differentiated characteristics: total transparency in the investment applications available and the type of assets that compose them; identification of risk levels so that the user can adapt the type of investment to his individual profile; and regular audits carried out by independent external entities.
On November 3 and 4, Lympid was represented at the Web Summit, after having completed a successful round of token sales with investors such as Luso Digital Assets, Clever, Olisipo Way and Gains Associates, at a time when the cryptoactive markets have been buffeted by uncertainty and mistrust worldwide.
This project benefits from a Grant from 1inch, one of the world's largest players in the area of decentralized protocols, in a process that involved dozens of applications, and Lympid was one of the three projects selected. Lympid is based at DeHouse in Porto, a physical space reserved only for companies in the Web3 area and is part of the BGI accelerator, which has already supported projects such as SwordHealth and Feedzai.
Its Minimum Viable Product (MVP) will be launched on January 19, 2023, and after participating in the Web Summit, Lympid already has more than 500 pre-subscriptions.
