On 27 May, the National Secretariat for Social Communications will mark World Communications Day in conjunction with the Department of Communication Sciences of the Faculty of Human Sciences.
On this day, students and professors of Communication will discuss the "strong points" and "weak points" of the presence of the Church in social communication and its relationship with the media. This session will have the special presence of D. João Lavrador, president of the Episcopal Commission for Culture, Cultural Goods and Social Communications.
For Isabel Figueiredo, director of the National Secretariat for Social Communications, the goal is, on the "horizon" of World Youth Day Lisbon 2023, "to give space to young people, to be able to listen to them and record what they think about Communication".
"Listen with the ear of the heart" is the theme of Pope Francis' message for this 56th World Communications Day.
The event is free entry and will take place in room 131 between 2pm and 3.15pm.
