Webinar | Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Morbidity

Católica Medical School of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, is organising a webinar on "Obstructive Sleep Apnoea and Morbidity" on 3 February at 4pm, in online format.

This webinar will feature David Gozal (Dean of Joan C Edwards School of Medicine and Vice-President for Health Affairs, Marshall University); Chair in Department of Child Health, University of Missouri) and will be moderated by Amélia Feliciano, Susana Falardo and Andreia Cardoso, Coordinators of the Postgraduate Programme in Sleep.

It will be discussed the complex mechanisms involving oxidative stress, inflammation, the microbiome, and senescence in understanding the morbidity associated with obstructive sleep apnea.  

In the field of sleep medicine, obstructive sleep apnea has been an area of focus due to the challenges in terms of diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis.
