On April 23, the Interuniversity PhD Program in Social Work will have a webinar taking place as part of the Themes and Debates Seminar.The webinar will be devoted to the topic "Community Social Responsibility. New Challenges for Social Work" and has as objectives:

  • Discuss community social responsibility in the framework of the SDGs, namely in the goals of combating poverty and social exclusion;
  • Deepen the new knowledge about social responsibility from the perspective of business, the social and solidarity economy, the role of the State and society;
  • To discuss community social responsibility in the light of the European Pillar of Social Rights, particularly with regard to the fair functioning of the labor market, citizenship rights and access to welfare;
  • To present case studies and practices on social responsibility in Portugal.

This meeting aims to involve academics and experts in social responsibility, managers and entrepreneurs, leaders and directors of organizations of social and solidarity economy, social intervention professionals, undergraduate, masters and doctoral students of the Catholic University of Portugal and the University of Coimbra, other potential stakeholders on the subject.
