Software, with varying degrees of autonomy, is present in all aspects of contemporary life, accessible to most citizens and increasingly useful in a wide range of activities, from everyday tasks to highly complex professional activities.
The latest technological developments in this field, which have had a significant impact on the degree of autonomy of software and the complexity of the chain of actors involved in its development, supply and implementation, have heightened issues related to the conclusion and execution of software contracts.
To understand, from a practical point of view, the issues that have been raised, it is particularly important to analyse national and international case law.
What are the main legal disputes arising from software contracts? Which legal issues have proved most controversial? Have the courts provided satisfactory answers?
