On 19 September, at 4:30 p.m., a Masterclass in Social Work will be held, open to undergraduate, master's and doctoral students in Social Work.

"Rethinking War and Peace from the Perspective of Human Rights and Social Work - A critical approach to transnational solidarity and peacebuilding" is the theme of this masterclass, which will be led by Prof. Darja Zaviršek (University of Ljubljana - Faculty of Social Work), an international reference whose work has contributed to the critical renewal of the profession in contexts of conflict, exclusion and diversity.

This conference proposes to reflect on the role of social work in peacebuilding and the promotion of transnational solidarity in times of increasing polarisation and militarisation. From a human rights perspective, this approach challenges students and teachers to think of Social Work as a system of peace, capable of promoting human connections, ethical responses and transformative practices in the face of new forms of violence (war, institutional, symbolic and structural).
