Social Pedagogy Meetings 2022

Under the theme "Pedagogical Innovation and Social Responsibility", the event named Social Pedagogy Meetings will take place on May 18, 2022, at the Porto Regional Centre of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, dedicated to reflection on the role of education in promoting an increasingly humanistic, inclusive and solidary citizenship.

As a science of education referring to lifelong learning processes developed in a perspective of social solidarity, Social Pedagogy has been worked on at the Faculty of Education and Psychology since 2004, according to a paradigm of "practical hospitality" that aims to combine academic learning with the dynamics of service to the community.  In this sense, 2 conferences, 2 thematic tables and 3 practical workshops are programmed, with the participation of guests with relevant experience, both nationally and internationally.

These Social Pedagogy Meetings are therefore aimed at all those interested in the themes of Socio-Educational Intervention, researchers and professionals, constituting a broad space for debate and sharing, of special importance in the current context of social and human crisis.
