The Católica Doctoral School (CADOS) is organizing the session "Social Intervention and Artistic Practices: Dilemmas and Debates", with the participation of Matilde Caldas, on June 19.
Based on artistic projects in the context of social intervention, dilemmas that often arise in the interstice between academia and projects will be discussed.
Matilde Artiaga Vieira Caldas has a degree in Anthropology from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She has a postgraduate degree in International Cultural Relations from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She has a Masters and PhD in Cultural Studies from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Since 2009, she has held various positions (coordination, production, management) at the Associação das Orquestras Sinfónicas Juvenis Sistema Portugal, in the socio-artistic projects Orquestra Geração and Orquestra de Afectos. She has taught various curricular units in programs such as the Post-Graduation in Artistic Practices and Social Inclusion at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, the Sound and Image degree at the School of Arts and Design of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria and the Artistic and Cultural Mediation and Sociocultural Animation degrees at the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon. She is a researcher at the Psychology and Music Education Research Center of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto.
