The Faculty of Biotechnology and the Faculty of Education and Psychology of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa are organising, as part of the launch of the Degree in Science and Society at the Faculty of Biotechnology, a debate on the theme ‘With so many profound technological and social changes, will education be the storehouse of old things?’.

This debate will be attended by Joaquim Azevedo, on 28 May at 17.45.

On the occasion of its fortieth anniversary in the 2024-2025 academic year, the Faculty of Biotechnology is launching an innovative degree programme on the higher education scene in Portugal. Sciences and Society (Liberal Sciences) is innovative in several ways: firstly, the course is multidisciplinary from the first year; secondly, it is very flexible, with a large part of the curriculum defined according to the student's interests; thirdly, a substantial part of the learning takes place through individual or group multidisciplinary projects. You can consult the programme plan for the degree here.
