Seminar “Brain and Spirituality: Perspectives and Challenges”

The seminar "Brain and Spirituality: Perspectives and Challenges”, organized by the Centre for Philosophical and Humanistic Studies (CEFH) and the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences (FFCS), will take place on the 7th of October at 2.30 p.m.
The event will address the issue of whether there are similarities or differences in the brain activation of people involved in spiritual exercises or mindfulness intervention. It is organized within the scope of the project "Neuroanatomical correlates of wellbeing in a mindfulness and religious exercises program", funded by Fundação Bial.
The event will be hosted by Steven Gouveia, CEFH researcher, and will count on the presence of several professors and researchers from the medical, neuroscience, psychology and philosophy fields.
