Postgraduate Masterclass in Food Innovation: "Sem Inovação, uma Marca Definha. Sem Comunicação, uma Marca Branqueia-se"

As part of the Postgraduate Programme in Food Innovation, the Faculty of Biotechnology is holding a Masterclass on "Sem Inovação, uma Marca Definha. Sem Comunicação, uma Marca Branqueia-se", with Pedro Pimentel (General Director of the Portuguese Association of Branded Product Companies).

Synopsis:

We have been going through a period of almost two years in which market dynamics, the disruption of supply chains and the erosion of purchasing power have pushed a large slice of consumers towards lower value, lower volume purchases in more trivialised market segments.

The main question facing the different operators - manufacturers and retailers - in the coming periods is how to respond to a consumer who is less resourceful, more frugal and more concerned about sustainability and social and corporate responsibility, while at the same time giving more shelf space to more innovative products and offering the consumer a more diversified assortment.
