Open Lecture | The Art and Practice of International Dispute Resolution

The Porto Faculty of Law, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in partnership with the ICFML – Institute for the Certification and Training of Lusophone Mediators, is pleased to host the Open Lecture “The Art and Practice of International Dispute Resolution”, marking the closing session of the International Negotiation and Mediation Summer Program 2026.

The session will feature Jennifer Brandt, attorney and mediator, whose intervention will focus on international dispute resolution, with particular emphasis on the practical dimensions of negotiation, mediation and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms within the international legal context.

This initiative aims to provide a moment of academic and professional reflection on the contemporary challenges of transnational dispute resolution, as well as on the growing role of mediation as an instrument of dialogue, efficiency and justice in the global legal landscape.

The Open Lecture will take place on 16 July, at 2:00 pm, in room EC018 [Corticeira Amorim Auditorium], as part of the academic programme developed by the Porto Faculty of Law and ICFML.
