Open Class | Pain in Artistic Expression

As part of the 7th edition of the Postgraduate Course in Pain, the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing is organising the Open Class "Pain in Artistic Expression", which is aimed not only at Postgraduate students, but also at anyone interested in this subject. 

This Open Class also features guests representing the Arts of Writing and the Visual Arts who will share how pain (or suffering) is part of the creative process, conditions the gaze, or drives inspiration.

The role of pain in the process of creation and artistic expression will be the guiding thread of the conversation moderated by José Manuel Costa Martins, Rita Canaipa and Pedro Sabino.

There will also be guests from the WRITING and VISUAL ARTS who will share how pain (or suffering) is part of the creative process, conditions the gaze or drives inspiration.
