The Textile Value Chain Masterclass offers an in-depth look at the structure and dynamics of the textile sector, examining each stage of the production process – from fibre design and raw material selection to distribution and final consumption.
The session will address topics such as sustainability and circular economy, technological innovation, internationalisation and competitiveness of textile companies, as well as the social and environmental impacts associated with the production chain.
Speakers:
Alexandra Ferreira
With a degree in Business Management from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Alexandra Ferreira has built a career of nearly two decades at Salsa. She has led iconic projects such as Wonder Jeans and Secret Jeans and managed teams in Product and Wholesale. Currently Director of the brand’s Outlet channel, she combines strategic vision, innovation and deep consumer insight in the fashion sector.
Ana Esteves
With a degree in Economics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Auditing and Management Control from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Ana Esteves began her career at Baviera, SA, before joining Salsa in 2003. Having worked across multiple operational and strategic areas, she has been Director of Supply Chain since 2018. She is also Vice-President of APLOG – Portuguese Logistics Association – and a visiting professor at Católica Porto Business School.
Nuno Malheiro
Director of the Postgraduate Programme in Fashion Management and professor at Católica Porto Business School, Nuno Malheiro is also Vice-President of ANJE and Brand Director at TOWORKFOR. An economist trained at FEP, he began his career at SONAE SR, joining the internationalisation team for ZIPPY. He worked in Qatar with Al Mana Fashion Group for brands such as PRONOVIAS, ETAM and Benetton, and later led the restructuring of Dutch brand SUPERTRASH as COO. Founder of consultancy EXPEGY, specialised in international expansion in fashion and retail, he was also Commercial Director at TINTEX Textiles.
