Launch Session of the Network of Archives of Religious Institutions

On April 15 and 16, 2021 the official launch of the Network of Archives of Religious Institutions (RAIR) will take place in an online event with the presence of the Director-General of DGLAB/Torre do Tombo. The program includes a set of conferences starting at 14h30 on issues of archival in Europe and Portugal.

Also on the second day, a round table discussion will take place on practices of organization and diffusion of archives of religious institutions. In the closing session, at 5:30 pm, will be representatives of the promoting entities and the Rector of the UCP.

RAIR is an initiative promoted by the Centre for Religious History Studies of the Catholic University of Portugal (UCP-CEHR) in partnership with a number of national entities such as the Portuguese Episcopal Conference, the Portuguese Council of Christian Churches, the Union of Portuguese Misericórdias and the Portuguese Caritas. RAIR also counts with the support of the Portuguese Society for the History of Protestantism and BAD - Portuguese Association of Librarians, Archivists, Information and Documentation Professionals.
